Here’s a prediction I will just leave here so I can compare how wrong I probably was once the episodes are out. Here we go.
I am gonna be honest, I really don’t think this is “Apology Tour”
Tumblr media
I don’t know. It is too Halloween coded. If the pumpkins and Stolas’ vampire cape and jack-o’-lanterns ain’t screaming about it, the fact that they’re in the Living World in their true forms might suggest they are allowed to do so on Halloween cause it looks like cool costumes? Which, btw, I love as a concept, just hanging out with humans once a year completely chill.
And considering that we got Cherubs and D.H.O.R.K.S. all together in Full Moon, this Blitz Sucks concert might be what is happening at the same time as the Hotel job in Ghostfuckers.
Here’re my thoughts: both Stolas and Blitz need to distract themselves with some sort of excitement and/or danger, and Stolas goes to sing with Verosika while Blitz takes on a job that’s a bit “out of their depth”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stolas is singing his cursed little heart out…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
… while shit goes down with the I.M.P, something that might as well happen simultaneously in a song to action sequence (doing a Shrek again, maybe? This is a stretch, but I would love to see “I need a hero” based badass action sequence here, I’m not gonna lie.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that whatever Blitz experiences here, with the possible possession and having a flashback or a hallucination of his mom (or more with those scenes when he sees Fizz in the hospital), leads him to seek out Stolas after they are done at the creepy Norman Bates coded Von Eldritch hotel.
He might have to “go through” Verosika and have that “You are so shitty” argument (“Where is he?” / “Why should I tell you?” — back and forth, back and forth), but eventually, Verosika could soften and Blitz would get to Stolas (back at the palace) and they might actually, finally have a conversation.
Tumblr media
Yeah, I think all of this happens in Ghostfuckers, and I can’t help but expect a blast out of this episode (whether I am right or so so so wrong, I don’t care, this is fun) since Brandon is really excited about this one. He seems so proud of it each time he talks about it. Following his work and knowing how masterful he is as a storyteller, I know how much he can pack in a short time and make it hilarious, exciting and heart wrenching in equal measure— and at the same time. And that man puts his many hearts into everything he does.
That all goes to say, I am incredibly excited for the future episodes. This show makes me so happy. I just love theorizing.

The Evolution of Blitzø’s Character Growth- Stolitz (Season 2.5)
Tumblr media
Blitz starts off "When I See Him" not wanting to think about the complexities of his and Stolas' relationship, so he decides to focus on the one thing he does know: sex.
In "When I See Him" Stolas and Blitz are meant to be never on the same page, even going as far as to have Blitz only sing-talk as opposed to Stolas' Disney-esque style of singing.
Tumblr media
He goes out of his way, excitedly looking forward to the sex they'll have afterwards. He's only thinking about the sex.
Tumblr media
Full Moon happens and Blitz is hurt and betrayed, as he genuinely has no idea how to process the confession.
Tumblr media
Beginning of Apology Tour Blitz attempts to win Stolas back, only for it to end horribly as he self-sabotages the fuck out of everything he has, refusing to let go of the mask he wears.
Tumblr media
Later on...
Tumblr media
Blitz is heartbroken to hear Stolas sing, and his admission, "I don't think you meant to hurt me because I don't think it meant a thing at all" destroys him.
He tries to make it right with Stolas (who is drunk), apologizes to him, lets go of the mask he wears, only to end up ultimately giving up and letting Stolas go in the end.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A month passes and Blitz has essentially given up on life, driving his business to the freaking ground...
One thing is for sure, he feels a lot of regret for what happened with Stolas, and has essentially given up on being with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot of shit happens to Blitz in Ghostfuckers as the trauma that he's kept buried for fifteen years is forcefully pried open with a wrench.
Tumblr media
Only for Millie to be the one to save Blitz in the end...
Episode ends with major character development for Blitz as his mask falls off, and he promises to butt out of the M&M relationship, and as he subtly admits and acknowledges his feelings for Stolas....
Tumblr media
What's beautiful about the Stolitz Duet in Mastermind is that it perfectly shows Blitzø’s character growth...
How Blitz went from initially thinking only about sex in regards to his relationship with Stolas....
How Blitz was never once was on the same page with Stolas in their first duet together...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Only to now be able to perfectly harmonize with Stolas in regards to their deep feelings for one another...
Tumblr media
Stolas admitting that he sees Blitz as his shining light that taught him to be his own person...
Tumblr media
To Blitz admitting that he sees Stolas as the key to his heart that he's kept locked up for years...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For them to finally sing in perfect harmony as they admit their genuine undying love for each other.
And when the fear of losing Stolas permanently, hits Blitz like a motherfucking truck...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's finally... finally able to let go of his mask around Stolas as he does what he can to comfort him after he lost everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Showing the small bits of romantic intimacy that he couldn't reciprocate back in Apology Tour.
Tumblr media
Blitzø Buckzo, you make me fucking sick... how dare you be this fucking soft and cute and tender and loving. This man is fully aware that Stolas is still angry at him, but he doesn't care, he's just happy to have his birb back.

I want to talk about a kind of troubling reaction I've been seeing to both Apology Tour and Ghostfuckers among parts of the fandom. The person is usually a reaction youtuber but sometimes someone writing on tumblr or twitter. They say something along the lines of "oh, I'm glad Blitz is being forced to confront his crimes/traumas/pain. This is the only way he will finally heal."
That's not how healing works.
Tumblr media
I know that reaction youtubers don't always have the most developed takes because they're . . . you know . . . reacting in the moment. But I think it's still worth talking about.
I'm going set aside the people who seem to believe that Blitz needs to be punished for his crimes, and address those who genuinely think that getting a tidal wave of his own trauma in his face is what he needs to heal.
There's an attitude in contemporary culture that traumas are something people need to confront. As in, put on a brave face and dive in like a big boy. I blame capitalism, rugged individualism, and all the pieces of media that tie up a character's arc neatly by having them confront their darkest fears and insecurities. It can put a nice bow on things, but it isn't really how healing from trauma works.
Apology Tour:
Blitz gets confronted by a shit ton of people who hate him, at least some of whom are his exes, who he feels he's personally damaged. The decor and party games are all about killing and torturing him. Verosika confronts him about how much he hurt her. Oh, and then he sees the love of his life, who he's just recently pushed away, making out with another guy- proof, in his eyes, that Stolas is happier without him. And this all reflects the underlying fears he already has about who he is as a person (shown to us by Truth Seekers).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So what was the takeaway? Blitz came to the conclusion that he doesn't always want to be like this (good, but like . . . worth this much pain?). He flops on his steering wheel (relatable). He stops trying to reach out to Stolas (uh oh . . . ). He spends A MONTH spiraling in his own misery and making a mess of all aspects of his life until he's dragged out of it by a caring friend.
The party doesn't empower Blitz to change. It knocks him down and fucking traumatizes him (seriously, images of Stolas from the party show up later in his trauma reel) too much for him to be able to do actually work toward said change. I suspect that if left to his own devices, he would have kept spiraling for quite a while longer. It's one thing to want to change, and another to try to do so alone in the aftermath of a pile-on.
Ghostfuckers
After Blitz drags himself out of his hole of cheesy ice cream and despair to "play sex ghosts" (escapism, again, still knocked down by Apology Tour), infester demon Rolando picks him out as an easy target and assaults him, yes, assaults, with horrific images of his worst traumas and fears.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not to state the obvious, but Rolando isn't interested in helping Blitz heal. He's trying to kill the guy. He wants to engulf Blitz in his trauma to the extent where he's consumed by it and loses the will to fight back. And as some excellent posts by others have pointed out already, he very likely would have succumbed if not for Millie's support.
Millie helps Blitz get through the onslaught by telling him about what makes him great and how he's improved her life and showing him love and care. And by literally beating the fucking infester out of him. Because there's someone in him who's hurting him, who's re-traumatizing him against his will. She takes him away from the reel of horrible memories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So . . . do I think that confronting traumas can play a role in healing? Sure. But only if it's consensually (which neither of these situations are) and when the person trying to heal is ready. And most likely in small doses. No one's going and successfully confronting every horrible thing that's ever happened to them in one go.
And in my humble opinion, it's not going to work (for anyone, but especially not for Blitz) alone and without a healthy dose of kindness and compassion (both external and internal).
Blitz has a long road ahead of him toward healing, and it's going to be hard work on his part but also require love and support from the people in his life.
In a wonderful moment near the end of Ghosfuckers, Blitz and Millie work together to get Blitz's wrecked van unstuck and push it back through the portal into Hell. I love it because it's so simple and it kind of tells us everything we need to know. This sweet and salty gremlin has a lot of work ahead of him, but he doesn't have to do it alone.

Do you think Blitzø bought all those taxidermy owls with the intent to burn them because he remembered how everyone cheered after burning his plushie at the Hate Blitzo Party, hoping maybe to feel better too?
But then he couldn't bring himself to burn them because he doesn't hate Stolas just as much as he hates himself and actually loves him very much, so he told Loona to do it?

“Oh I can’t wait to see how Stolas is dealing with the breakup—”
Stolas already processed and grieved their not-breakup. That was the trash-tv-and-cereal-eating and post-Ozzies-crying-and-self-destructing and the giving-of-the-crystal. He got his closure in Apology Tour and is still devastated but is moving forward.
Blitzø, on the other hand, hasn’t had the chance to mourn or process shit until Apology Tour and, more realistically, Ghostfuckers. He hasn’t even realised he would care if he lost Stolas until he did.

These last two episodes have been so important for Blitzø's character development actually.
Apology Tour is important because he needed to realize his actions have consequences and needed to see the impact it has on other people. Ghostfuckers is important because he needed to break down some of his walls and see that he can be loved and that he already has people who love him.
Blitzø needs to know he's not perfect, but that it doesn't make him unlovable

Will Stolas lose his immortality?
Tumblr media
I’ve seen several mentions of Mission: Weeaboo-boo being a parallel to Blitz’s first encounter with Stolas (as an adult), which I can totally get behind. Right out the gate we have the “you were here to ravish me” similarity as well as Blitz “sneaking in, under the cover of night.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've also seen the hypothesis that Emberlynn's fan fiction includes an element of foreshadowing for what’s going to happen in the climax of Season 2.
Her episode is also the only one of the shorts with that "ticking" sound during the content warning, which lends further credence to the idea that it is tied in with the main plot somehow, even if merely thematically.
This got me pondering the possible parallels related to Emberlynn's functional immortality against demonkind and her decision to give it up in order to "be with Blitz."
Tumblr media
Which now has me wondering—is Stolas going to have to give up his immortality to be with Blitz? Or lose it due to the illegal arrangement they've had going on?
Or, leaning into the idea that her episode is merely a reflection of how Blitz views his relationship with Stolas, could it simply be a parallel to the fact that Stolas has already been in mortal danger as a result of choosing to be with Blitz? And that Blitz feels responsible for Stolas' “undoing?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We’re shown in Ghostfuckers that one of Blitz’s fears is that Millie could have died during any of the missions from episodes 1-4 of season one. Couple that with the fact that he believes that he “makes everyone’s lives worse,” it’s reasonable to assume that he not only fears, but feels responsible for her life being in mortal danger during their missions.
Whether he cared more about Stolas or the arrangement when he stopped the first assassination attempt, Striker was without the angelic weapon when he fled, which Moxxie had expressed complete shock in Striker's ability to have in the first place.
I think that Blitz allowed his cognitive dissonance to convince himself that Striker was no longer a threat without this weapon. Because deep down, he may have been afraid that telling Stolas about the assassination attempt might not be a neutral event for him. That he didn’t even want to contemplate the idea that he might actually care beyond the loss of their "arrangement."
In the very next episode, Truth Seekers, we see these feelings forced to the surface during his drug-induced hallucination—with Stolas at the top of a long flight of stairs, saying, “Are you afraid to love people, Blitzy?”
Tumblr media
With the knowledge that he’s afraid that he makes “everyone’s lives worse,” it adds layers to many Stolitz scenes that follow throughout the series. Data points that someone like Blitz could easily see as evidence of that very fear. “Proof” that he’s responsible for Stolas’ life “falling apart.”
- He knew that Stolas was married as evidenced by his “Sorry, I fucked your husband” after their first night together. Stolas was clearly not only consenting to sex with Blitz, but was expressing a joyous desperation for it. Despite this, it was actually the “first ever friend” comment that caused Blitz to hesitate and return to Stolas, which we now know was a soft spot for him due to his experience with Fizz. But it was Blitz’s choice to stay or go, and staying is what kicked off the arrangement, is the reason for the sexual nature of its terms, and caused a domino effect that impacted Stolas’ entire life, including his family.
Tumblr media
- When the two of them were being roasted at Ozzie’s, it wasn’t Stolas’ perspective that was showcased for Blitz, but Ozzie and Wally Wackford’s. Not only does the narrative begin early with Wally’s “Are you sleeping with an imp?!” but it’s followed up by Ozzie’s “My dark lord, how the mighty do fall,” and continues with Stolas being called out for “giving up” his wife and daughter specifically for his choice to be with Blitz. And the way that the narrative plays out, it almost sounds like his downfall was less for cheating than it was for sleeping with an imp.
Either way, seeing Stolas hide his face behind the menu likely “confirmed” multiple things for Blitz. That despite Stolas’ “public” flirting in front of other imps, when confronted by someone actually associated with Stolas’ upper class society, Blitz was reduced to being an embarrassment for Stolas.
Believing that, left no room for even a glimmer of hope that they could be anything more than what they already were: a prince who enjoyed “sleeping with an imp” and was apparently paying a pretty steep price for it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Then there’s Octavia. In Loo Loo Land, Stolas takes her to the theme park but spends most of his time flirting with Blitz. Not only does she comment on this in front of Blitz, but he’s there to witness when she’s finally had enough and storms off, mad at her father. In Seeing Stars, Octavia came to I.M.P., stole the grimoire, and disappeared with it. Why? Because her father was so wrapped up in the divorce, that she felt angry and neglected.
Tumblr media
- In Full Moon, his fight with Stolas took them through part of the palace. This is very likely the first time he’s seen it since he was apprehended at the “Not Divorced” party, and what has it become? When he came back into Stolas’ life, it was bright, vibrant, and full of people. That night in Full Moon, it was dark, muted, and the only person visible in his photos were of Via.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
While Blitz may have inferred at the time that Stolas’ marriage wasn’t in a good place, he doesn’t know just how miserable Stolas was in the life he had before. From Blitz’s perspective, he may have appeared fairly content overall when they first reconnected.
Tumblr media
Compare that to Apology Tour, which Blitz sees as the natural outcome of what people experience when they are around him long enough.
Tumblr media
Data point after data point, to feed into the idea that Stolas’ life has been “ruined,” just by Blitz being in it. His marriage ended, his relationship with his daughter was negatively impacted, and by Ghostfuckers, someone had tried to kill him twice.
I don't think Blitz is aware that Stella is the one who has been putting out the hits, but I could see him internalizing the idea that if Stolas had died during the second attempt, it would have been his fault. Because not only had he chosen not to warn Stolas that someone was trying to assassinate him, he was also the person that Stolas had reached out to for help and he had let M&M go in his stead.
It is after this attempt on Stolas’ life that we see Blitz absolutely shook by the idea that Stolas not only could be hurt, but that he was hurt and had almost died.
Tumblr media
This is also several months after the night at Ozzie’s, when he had first begun to realize that, painful as it was, he may care for Stolas after all. Months during which they hadn’t seen each other and he had time to actually miss their time together.
Between that and finding out that he can actually get hurt, I can see Stolas becoming one of the people that Blitz feels the desire to protect. Unfortunately, this also seems to come with the anxiety of being responsible for what he perceives as the “collateral damage” of being associated with him.
Finally, in Truth Seekers, where the "ticking" began, Stolas had exposed himself via "real" demonic power to the D.H.O.R.K.S. and by extension, the living world. But the only reason he was there and got himself caught on camera is because he came to rescue Blitz.
Tumblr media
This could be linked to the scene where we see Blitz attempting to protect and defend Stolas against someone. My bet is on Paimon, who, while ranking below the 7 Sins in power, is still depicted as a fairly powerful being. Stolas had not only exposed their existence to the living world, but had showcased his power in his attempt to scare the agents into submission. We know there’s going to be consequences for that, as well as for the divorce, and I expect Paimon will have a part to play, one way or another.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stolas mentioned in Seeing Stars that without the grimoire, his powers are rather limited. I assumed that the worst outcome for him at the end of Season 2 was being stripped of his status and grimoire, which would vastly reduce his raw power as well as the power his position in society affords him.
Obviously, the actual worst-case scenario would be the loss of his life, which it's assumed Blitz is trying to protect him from in the snippet from the trailer. But it didn't occur to me until now that even with my own certainty that he'll survive the Season 2 climax, there was a third possible outcome... that along with his power and status, Stolas could also be stripped of his immortality.

hot take: I don't think this scene is from apology tour
Tumblr media
if you look closely at it there are jack-o-lanterns on the curtain behind them and pumpkins on the stage. My theory is that this scene is from Ghostfuckers and that the A plot of the episode will be blitzø and Millie at the hotel, and all the scenes we've seen from the trailer and the B plot of the episode will be Stolas and Verosika. Also if you look closely at the background of this photo they are not in hell (the sky is not red) but they are all in demon form which suggests Halloween since humans would just think they were in costumes. I also don't think that these are from the same scene if my theory is correct.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
since Stolas is wearing the same vampire fit as the first picture but Blitz is wearing his usual outfit instead of his witch costume from what I presume will be Ghostfuckers.

Looks like we'll be seeing how Blitz is coping after Apology Tour, and apparently it's not very healthy.
Brandon also went onto say that Blitz is not in the right headspace either, so how wonderful... what a great time to go through some major fucking trauma
(Honestly, after what he went through in Apology Tour, I would be very surprised if he did cope healthily)
Tumblr media
Maybe that's why Millie looks so annoyed with Blitz here, she can tell something is off with Blitz but can't figure out what.

What Ghost Fuckers shows us about Blitzø, his face scar and eye trauma, and his deepest fears.
As we already know, Blitzø's scars come from the same accident that maimed Fizz, killed Blitzø's mom, and burned Blitzø's life as he knew it to ashes. We also know Blitzø blames himself for the accident, because he inadvertently caused it by pushing aside the imp carrying Fizz's cake.
In Oops, we also saw Blitzø's eye got badly hurt during the accident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, even though it seems to have fully recovered given his precision with a gun, it is still permanently and completely surrounded by scar tissue.
Tumblr media
It's his most visible scar—the only one he cannot cover up with his daily attire. It represents his vulnerability and broadcasts it to the world. So much so that, when he's feeling at his most helpless, he shields it from view as a means to protect himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eyes are typically represented in fiction as windows to the soul, so one's eye being hurt or scarred can be a representation of how broken, hurt, or tainted they are/feel inside; an unclosable window that displays their deepest trauma for everyone to see.
We also know Blitzø privately crosses out his face in pictures with his loved ones, and we've seen across multiple episodes that the side of his face that is highlighted in each scene can relate to his emotional state. His scarred side is in full view in moments when he's losing control of his emotional state and unable to hide his vulnerability, whereas his unscarred side will be in view when he's trying to avoid/hide his insecurities and pretend everything is fine. On key moments when he's being honest with himself and others about his emotions, his front side will show, a representation of him acknowledging both sides and approaching a balance between them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Ghost Fuckers, eye trauma is also used to represent Blitzø's emotional turmoil, except the eye trauma is no longer his own—it is very blatantly extended to others.
In his Millie hallucination, every single Millie except for the one with the broken arm has got something wrong with one or both of her eyes. Each of them is the realization of Millie being hurt because Blitzø put her in harm's way: the bottle shards from Murder Family, the fire in Loo Loo Land, the giant fish from Spring Broken, the angelic arrow in CHERUBS, and the final Millie, which seems to match the hotel bellboy, implying Rolando has hurt or affected her in some way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Notice how Blitzø's scarred side is showing again in this moment).
All these Millies have been ruined in the same way Blitzø is ruined, and they've been ruined because of Blitzø. Because he needed her. Because he put her in harm's way. Because he cared about her enough to selfishly keep her in his life.
All of these Millies have ended up "like him": permanently marked as broken.
This is what his love does, in his eyes (pun not intended). It damages people beyond repair. It is a contagious and unstoppable force that will inevitably destroy anything and anyone it—he—touches.
Just like it did his mother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She, too, loses an eye in his hallucination. An eye that falls right in his hand as she burns away, marking him as responsible for her corruption; an eye that looks at him even as she vanishes from his grasp. Almost as if she knows. Knows what he did, knows he's to blame for her death. Knows that if it weren't for him, and his feelings, and his love, she'd still be whole. She'd still be alive.
This masterful visual representation of Blitzø's guilt and fear is perfectly summarised in Millie's line, “when was the last time you loved someone without hurting them?” Blitzø truly believes anyone who stays close to him will end up just like him: damaged, and traumatised, and broken, or worse—dead.
And all because he was selfish enough to let himself be loved and cared for by them.

Timeline for latest Helluva Boss plot points:
Apology Tour was Halloween night.
Ghostfuckers took place "over a month" later putting it around December 1st.
Mastermind takes place an unknown time afterwards but its before Sinsmas (which i will assume is December 25th).
Let's call it a week, giving Blitz time to clean up his post-breakup behavior. Meaning the trial was around December 10th or so.
So Stolas will likely have been living with Blitz for about 2 weeks before Sinsmas goes down.
Thats 2 weeks of Octavia being fed lies by her mother and uncle.
